What it Looks Like to Work In Your Strengths Zone

If you've known me for a while now, you probably know I often talk about working in your strengths zone as much as you can and manage your weaknesses so that you can spend more time in your areas of strength.

But, what does it look and feel like to work in your strengths zone (or areas of strength)?

Here is a breakdown between activities that strengthen you (strengths zone), and activities that weaken you (weaknesses).

when i am doing an activity that strengthens me (aka: Strengths zone, "Peaks")

I am thinking...

  • "I can't wait to start!"
  • "This is fun!"
  • "I could do this forever."
  • "This is my calling."
  • "This is perfect for me."
  • "Just try and stop me."
  • "Time sure does fly by!"

I am feeling...

  • Powerful, passionate
  • Euphoric, enthusiastic
  • Natural, authentic
  • Smooth, confident

I want to...

  • Find a way to do more of it
  • Learn more of it
  • Find role models and people that I can learn from
  • Look for people that are really good at it

My business is...

  • Running with flow and ease
  • Clients come to me without much effort
  • Money flows to me with ease
  • Aligned with my values and goals
  • Fulfilling me
  • Bringing me joy and happiness
  • Fun and impactful
  • Productive and efficient

General notes:

  • It takes you less time to accomplish a task when working in your strengths.
  • You enjoy doing the activities that are in your areas of strength.
  • You don't think twice about doing activities that use your strengths.
  • It's easy for you to accomplish tasks that use your strengths.
