In my six month Strengths Mastery coaching program, I use my business framework to help you create a strong business that leverages your strengths. Your strengths and skills are at the center of your business and the driving force for everything you do. Extending from your strengths are six more "S" puzzle pieces, that when combined together, create The Strong 7 Business Framework.

The Strong 7 Business Framework is a continual cycle of discovering, improving, and leveraging to continue growing your business and yourself. These seven elements are crucial to the growth of your business and are what you need to master in order to take your business to the next level.

[The framework is adapted from McKinsey Consulting's 7S Model.]

The Hard S areas (Structures, Strategy, Systems) are tangible and more readily seen areas of your business. The Soft S areas (Strengths, Style, Support, and Psyche) are usually more intangible, unseen areas of your business, but are also the foundational pieces that are going to give you a competitive advantage and allow you to uniquely stand out online.

Let's breakdown the framework:

At the nucleus, or heart, of your business are your strengths and skills. Your strengths are the most important part of the framework, forming the basis for the growth of your business. Your strengths are innate and natural; they cannot be acquired. Therefore, they are the glue that holds the entire framework together and what makes you unique. Knowing what your strengths are and how to develop and leverage them in your business will allow you to build a business that gives you the freedom, joy, clients, and income that you want!

Your style is the overarching leadership style of your brand. Your style is defined by answering questions like: What type of leader do you want to be? How do you want to impact the people you serve? What is your business vision? What is your big message? How do you want to be perceived?

Creating structures in your business and having streamlined processes is what allows you to create consistency. By having processes in place for your "day to day" tasks, you eliminate guess work, work more efficiently towards your goals, and ditch procrastination. Structures do not have to be rigid, but they do have to be streamlined to increase your productivity and efficiency.

Strategies are the top level plan for your business and should align with your vision (or end goal). Everything you do in your business should have a purpose and be strategically aligned with your vision. Strategies also eliminate wasted time, doing things for the sake of "feeling" productive, and decrease procrastination as well. Your strategies could include your content marketing strategy, client attraction strategy, email marketing strategy, client retention strategy, administrative strategy, and more.

Systems are what keep your structures and strategies running smoothly. From technology to tools to automation, systems will help keep your organized and efficient so that you can enjoy working in your areas of strength and then automate areas of weakness or things that don't need you specifically to be working in on a daily basis. Systems are especially helpful for routine, frequent tasks. Having systems in place will allow you to focus on income producing activities and let your business grow on auto-pilot.

Support means the people in and around your business. They can consist of staff, or team members, such as a virtual assistant who helps you with the day-to-day, a graphic designer who supports you in creating your social media graphics, or a bookkeeper who handles your accounting. Support can also mean your business besties, cheerleaders, raving fans, mastermind group, mentorship, or business coach you've hired. You want to have the right people supporting the growth of your business.

Okay, okay, psyche starts with a "P", but it sounds like an "S"! In this framework, psyche means your mindset. Your mind is so powerful and can greatly affect the growth of your business. There are many different types of mindset: fear, money, sales, social, relationships, envy, gratitude, confident, creative, business, and more. Daily mindset practice will not only affect the way that you feel, but will also affect how fast your business grows.
